UPDATE to say: I believe their need for clothes are taken care of for now!! This community has blessed this family with more than they will probably know what... to do with! All Venmo money has been transferred, toys/cards and cash given or in route to be placed in his hands! Thank y’all again so much!! THANK Y’ALL Calling All Members of the Pike County Community PLEASE SHARE Just after midnight on Sunday, February 13th our neighbors, a local Williamson family, lost what they called HOME and all of their belongings to a house fire. By the grace of God the father, Jerry Vaughn and daughter, Anniston Vaughn weren’t home when the house went up in flames. The home is a total loss and this sweet family has been left with nothing. First and foremost we know they are in need of a rental home they can stay in until the house can be rebuilt. The home needs to be wheelchair accessible and local to Pike County for school purposes if at all possible. The father Jerry is being very humble about not asking for help with anything, so we are stepping in to lend a hand! Anything you could possibly contribute would be greatly appreciated to help get them back on their feet! If possible, all donations can be dropped off at Simply Southern Hair Salon in Zebulon Tuesday-Saturday! Donations will be collected and taken to the family as they are received! Anniston is in a size 8-10 or 10-12 clothes, and a size 3 in shoes if you have anything you wish to donate. She also loves baby dolls! Jerry is a size 2XL top, XL bottom and 10.5-11 size shoes. Gift cards or cash could be ideal for getting the family toiletries/ undergarments/ miscellaneous needs. My Venmo is @colorjunke if that is easier for you to donate. I will make sure the money makes it in his hands! Again, we know these donations would be greatly appreciated to get them back on track. But know even if you are unable to donate, something as simple as a prayer for this sweet family would be more than appreciated. We can’t even fathom what they are going through at the moment!
