We're all praying people, but there is something POWERFUL when we PRAY TOGETHER as a group, as seen in the book of Acts. Join us Wednesday, January 27 at 7PM on Facebook Live for Prayer Night. You can interact with Pastor Alex in the comment section during the Prayer Night event.

For week three, we take a closer look at Proverbs 6:6- 8. Think about the ant! Consider its ways and be wise! (NIrV). God created ants to take responsibility and work hard storing up for the winter months. We can look to them as an example, as we take responsibility and work hard. Bottom Line: Work hard. God has created us to work, yet often we try to do whatever we can to avoid it. We pray that this simple bottom line will be a reminder for kids to take responsibility when they have a job to do. God can give them the strength they need to follow through and get the job done.

Story Focus: Jesus’ power is amazing. In this week’s teaching, we find Jesus and the disciples in a boat in the middle of a raging storm. Have no fear though! Jesus has power over nature, and He used it to calm the storm. Even the disciples were asking, Who is this that even has power over the wind and waves? Jesus! That’s Who! And, Jesus is amazing!

In week two, we head to 2 Samuel 6:12b-22a where we find King David in a powerful moment in Israel’s history. David had the privilege of bringing the Ark of the Covenant back to Jerusalem. He was so overwhelmed with gratitude and excitement that he danced and celebrated. David was willing to make himself look foolish to give God the credit He deserved. Bottom Line: Celebrate what God has done. Just like King David took time to thank God for His faithfulness, we pray that kids will do the same. Even in a strange year like 2020, God has still done so much for us. We pray that kids will take time to celebrate and offer thanks to God.

Story Focus: I can thank God for food. Week two, we will hear the story about Elijah and a widow who only had enough food left for one small mealthat is until God showed up! God gave the widow all the food she needed. So when our preschoolers see food, we want them to say, Thank You, God! Mac and cheese... Mmmm...Thank You, God! Vanilla ice cream...thank You, God! Apple slices...Thank You, God!

At 2AM this Sunday, November 1st, the clocks "fall back" one hour. Don't forget to set your clocks back before you go to bed Saturday night! Considering this is 2020, and all of our snazzy technology will change our clocks for us, you probably won't have to do a thing! But just in case, remember to set your clocks back one hour and enjoy more beauty sleep!

We kick off this series with something Paul wrote in 1 Thessalonians 5:18, Give thanks no matter what happens. God wants you to thank him because you believe in Christ Jesus, (NIrV). It’s pretty clear. Giving thanks is something God wants us to do. No matter what happens, we can be thankful for Jesus and God’s gift of salvation. Bottom Line: You always have something to be grateful for. When life is hard or even if life is normal, finding why you should be thankful can be difficult, especially for kids. We pray that as kids think about this bottom line, they’ll remember they can always be thankful to God for sending Jesus to be our Savior.
