Tax TIp: Before purchasing new capital equipment, check into leasing vs. buying, or purchasing used vs. new. Compare deductions and cost. Remember that you can be locking yourself into multiple years of a required depreciation.

Tax Tip: Make a list of all the deductions you took last year. Check this year for what business deductions are allowed. Things change, new ones come and ones you have been using may have changed or are gone. Don't flag an audit or get a fine by using a bad deduction.

Chemical Safety Tip: Always add any liquid or powder chemical in to water for a mix, not water into the chemical. Adding water to a concentrated chemical or into a powder may cause blow back up and out of the mixing container. But you can top off a mix with more water if needed.

Troubleshooting Tip: Low pressure but filters fine, next check all the connections like quick connects and their O-rings. Missing or damaged O-rings allows water out and air in losing you pressure along the way. Always carry a pick and spares in both sizes, 1/4 and 3/8.

Troubleshooting Tip: When you suddenly lose pressure check your filters first. Water restriction is always the first thing to look for. Don’t think the strange will never happen to you. Ask the guy with a lizard in his chemical proportioner. Or the a zip-tie in an inline filter.

PTSD- Sad yet damn true. Who's got my six? I'm going to make a bet, without being pessimistic, that out of my several hundred friends, that less than 25 will take the time to put this on their wall. You just have to copy it from my wall and paste it to yours. Then type done on my wall. I've done this for a friend to spread Awareness of Post Traumatic Stress Disorder. We lose 22 Veterans a day to PTSD. More needs to be done to help Veterans in need.

GCE will be closed this Friday July 3rd in celebration of the 4th. Most shipping carriers will also be closed Friday and Saturday. Have a safe 4th of July.

GCE will be starting our in house classes back up on Friday June 19th. It will be a repeat of How to choose your chemicals and understanding pH. Class will run 8 am to 10:30 and will have a limit of 9 to allow for social distancing. Call 770-921-0397 to make your reservation with a $20 deposit. This $20 will be available as an in store credit on the day of the class. A new updated list of classes will be posted soon.
