The Phoenix are STATE BOUND! The Region 6AAA Championship Cross Country meet was held today at Grove Level park in Dalton. Our boys team finished 2nd overall earning them a spot at the State meet in Carrollton on Nov 6th. Andrew Carey (Junior) placed 4th overall for the boys. Nahum Trenti (Senior) finished 6th overall. Riley Triplett (Senior) finished 3rd overall for the girls which advances her to State individually. ... What a great season it’s been! GO PHOENIX!!

Today the Phoenix Cross Country team will compete at the Region 6AAA Cross Country Championship in Dalton at Grove Level park. On Tuesday afternoon the Phoenix cross country team traveled to Fort Mountain. The boys team placed 1st overall with Andrew Carey placing 2nd and Nahum Trenti right behind him placing 3rd. The Lady Phoenix placed 2nd overall and were led by Riley Triplett who won the gold medal.

Today the Phoenix Cross Country team will be traveling to Rome to run in the Rome All-Area Championship meet hosted at Georgia Highlands College. Varsity Girls run at 9am. Varsity Boys run at 9:45. JV runs at 10:30. #gophoenix

The Phoenix Cross Country team flew high yesterday afternoon in the Adairsville Invitational at Manning Mill Park. Our Varsity boys team brought home the 1st place trophy beating Rockmart, Gordon central, Adairsville, Trion, and Ringgold. Our boys varsity was led by Andrew Carey with a 17:32, and Nahum Trenti with a 17:49. Our Varsity Girls ran very well taking a third-place finish behind Gordon Central and Rockmart. The girls' team was led by strong finishes from Dayleigh Dress and Chloe Parker. Our JV team Started the day with Liz Bautista, Ellen Robertson, Ross Stewart, and Daycen Dress all bringing home Top 10 individual medals. Please congratulate all when you see them today! We will be back in action on Saturday at the Rome All Area meet. GO PHOENIX!

XC season officially starts for the SHS Phoenix tomorrow 8.29.20, after a long awaited summer! Boys begin at 9am tomorrow followed by the girls. Meet will be held at Heritage High School in Ringgold. #shsrunningphoenix
