How many different ways can you design a Roman Shade? Apparently, the answer is unlimited. Interior Designer Libba Dillon challenged me with a 10' wide loose roman, triple festoon, that operated in unison. It looks and operates like a dream, but there are a few secrets that went into making this design a success. There is much to be considered in accomplishing this elegant shade. However, I think I nailed it to her satisfaction, and also to our own!!! She loved it, and that ...is always our highest reward. Because of the weight factor, I did need to use cords for the lift mechanism, but they are safe for children with cord shrouds and meet all ANSI requirements. The operation for lifting and lowering this shade does NOT use cords at all, but, rather, a continuous bead chain loop under tension. It folds up and unfolds like a breeze! Libba specked this shade with beautiful designer fabric and a double row of trim, flat trim with Turkish corners, and a beautiful tape trim. The coordinating down pillows have invisible zippers, traditional cording, and pleated ruffles.
