Sosebee Cycling Park 03.03.2021

First day riding in 2021. It feels amazing out.

Sosebee Cycling Park 23.02.2021

with permission.....TOPIC: Group Rides and Riding in Groups there's been many posts/questions, etc. about riding in groups, what's the best things to focus on,... etc, etc. I became SO frustrated w/group rides in general, b/c they seemed to become more about testosterone, trying to show off who's the fastest....well, you get the picture. And it wasn't just me; I heard this everywhere I rode. After researching everything out there at the time, I found no single resource that grabbed the entire scope of what "actually" goes on in a group ride, or more importantly, what "should' go on, and why. So, I took 2 yrs to write what I still believe is THE MOST COMPREHENSIVE resource on group rides that you'll find. It's unique, in that I've embedded video, to help further illustrate many dynamics, so now you can 'see' and 'read' about this stuff. My e-Book has a few renown cycling athletes who read it and wholeheartedly supported my efforts. You will learn about dynamics in this e-Book that you've probably never heard before.... Check it out. NOTE: you have to have an Apple device to access the book via Apple Books. https://www.mycyclecoach.com/group-riding-ebook

The parks have a new multi-layered secure donation dropbox. I made it out of thick plate steel. My son and I got together and designed it like a Chinese mystery box, with special security built on the inside aswell. Also, it will be under 24-hour camera surveillance, and emptied daily. We appreciate your donations and are looking forward to finishing several projects this spring so that we can get started on future plans for the park.

The person who tried to rod the park donation boxes was identified this week and is in jail now. He was a local guy.

Sosebee Cycling Park 06.01.2021

We took down the donation boxes today. My son and I have a good design in mind to replace them. There have been several break-in attempts lately. We caught a silver SUV in the act yesterday, but he left before we could see him. We might have his tag number. I will get back to working on the camera system soon to get it fully operational.... I have been occupied with some family health issues, we received some excellent news today, so maybe things can get back to normal soon. God has indeed smiled on us. Thank you for your patience. Hopefully, we will have the full security system up and working by spring or sooner and the new tamper-proof boxes up in a week or so.

Guess our national leaders didn't expect this. On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Little...ton, Colorado, was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's subcommittee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he was to say, nor was it received well. It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.. The following is a portion of the transcript: "Since the dawn of creation there has been both good & evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers. "The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used.. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart. "In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent. I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy -- it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. Your laws ignore our deepest needs, Your words are empty air. You've stripped away our heritage, You've outlawed simple prayer. Now gunshots fill our classrooms, And precious children die. You seek for answers everywhere, And ask the question "Why?" You regulate restrictive laws, Through legislative creed. And yet you fail to understand, That God is what we need! "Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, mind, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact. What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs -- politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws. Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. "As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes, he did not hesitate to pray in school. I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him. To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA -- I give to you a sincere challenge.. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone! My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!" December 16, 2012 COLUMBINE STUDENT'S FATHER 12 YEARS LATER !! - Darrell Scott Do what the media did not - - let the nation hear this man's speech. Please send this out to everyone you can. God Bless

When Peace Like A River Flows Over Me. We all love that song, it is very soothing to the soul. Peace will quieten your soul, but it will not quiten the storm. ... How would you describe Peace. Would you use the word quietness. Peace in the mist of a storm really does quiten the soul. A troubled soul will quiten when its 100 % secure in times of turmoil and trouble. One must trust God for that security, knowing all thing are well in the storm. There you will find a place of safety. So believeing in God and knowing he has your best interest at heart is a must to feeling secure in the storm. Only God has the supreme authority to accomplish something like this. Jesus, was on a ship when a terrible storm arose, but his soul was quitened in such away he fell fast asleep. He knew that he, and his deciples were safe. They were under the watch care of God. He tought us what true faith in a living God should look like. So please my friend exercise your faith in God during the storms of life. A quite soul only comes from putting your faith in Jesus christ our lord, for he will take care of you. Christopher Sosebee See more

Merry Christmas to all from SCP. These pics portrays Mary with her son as she witnessed his first cry at birth to his last cry at death. Never had it been recorded that God had suffered pain, no not until he chose to cloth himself in flesh and became a part of humanity. You see all pain is a result of sin. BUT God had no sin, so where did his pain come from. The answer is humanity, it originated from the first man, Adam. So God would experience pain as all men do. The flesh... of all men is cursed. The human race can not escape this curse. Every man is born into this world in pain, even the God man, Jesus Christ. FOR there is no birth without travail. So life here on earth is full of pain, grievous pain at times. But we can find comfort in the one who satisfied sins curse . Through Jesus we find freedom from the Penalty of Sin, freedom from the power of sin and in days ahead the freedom from the presence of sin. Christopher Sosebee. See more

If you thought you seen a camel at the park saturday you did. We had the Sosebee family early Thanksgiving. We have lots of fun stuff for the family each year. Wood busting, Hatchet throwing, archery, and tree identification competition. My brother and I were taught so much from mom and dad. So we keep our parents memory alive with our children and grand children through these games. Growing up we were in the woods a lot cuting pulpwood, fire wood and tember for lumber. So dad thought us a few things about trees. How to identify a tree , how to fall a tree, how to pick the tree, how to bust it and lots more. Dad had poleo from age 4, but it never stopped him from tackling anything. He was aways busy working and we were right there with him.
