Today marks the anniversary of the National Historic Preservation Act of 1966. This act established permanent institutions and created a clearly defined process for historic preservation in the United States including: state and tribal historic preservation offices, the National Register of Historic Places, and the President’s Advisory Council on Historic Preservation. This act has benefitted the Museum by the listing of our historic Pullman railcar "Superb" on the National Register of Historic Places. The "Superb" is available for tour whenever the Museum is open.
