Sometimes the best lessons learned are when we fail. Keep pushing forward.

Let your child have a bad ride. I know you want to protect them from the hardships of this world. I know you want to give them success and good experiences. I know you don't want to see them get hurt. To see them fall. To see them fail. But, hear me out, let your child have a bad ride.... Let them cry the tears of frustration. Let them shake the sand out from the inside of their riding pants. Let them face the fear building inside of them. Let them step back on again. Yes, let your child have a bad ride. Let them hate the horse that challenges them. Let them learn what fight and passion and ambition mean. Let them realize that when they refuse to quit the horse will take the time to listen. Grant them the joy of realizing that they are connecting with another living being. Grant them the joy of realizing that they, although they are small, can be powerful. Grant them the joy of seeing their hard work pay off, through the days of tears can come a love unspeakable. Yes, let your child have a bad ride. How much weight can a horse carry? In my experience, a horse can carry an infinite amount. They can carry the weight of broken hearts, broken homes, and broken bodies. Countless tears sometimes comb their tangled manes. Moments when parents and friends cannot be there to help and hold a person, horses embrace and empower. They carry physical, mental, and emotional handicaps. They carry hopes and dreams; and they will carry the stress from your day when you can't carry it a...nymore. They carry graduations, they carry new careers, they carry moves away from everything familiar, they carry marriages, they carry divorces, they carry funerals, they carry babys before they are born, and sometimes they carry the mothers who cannot carry their own baby. They carry mistakes, they carry joy, they carry the good and they carry the bad. They carry drugs and addictions, but they also carry the celebrations. They will carry you to success when all you have felt is failure. They will carry you, never knowing the weight of your burdens and triumphs. In honor of the World's starting, a little throwback to the time SOS got to be at the World's Championship Horse Show! (The World Cup or national championship for our industry) We wish everyone a great show and the best rides of their lives! We know it won't be this same this year, but we know it'll still mean just as much to ride down that chute!

Happy Mother's Day to our favorite person! The one who gave us our passion for the love of horses. Who taught us so much in the way of being a horseman. We are blessed to call you Mom and to have grown up smelling like a barn! we love you so so much! We also would love to say Happy Mother's Day to our barn moms and grandmothers! We love you all and miss you all! SOS says a huge happy mother's day to every single mom out there whether it be two legged or four!
