Working on a project in Hancock County. The residential real estate market appears to be somewhat immune to the coronavirus outbreak.
Well, I have been able to find out just how waterproof this Geomax Zoom 90 robotic total station is. The picture doesn’t do it justice. It’s pouring down as I post this. The equipment that surveyors use is supposedly designed to be used in inclement weather. I have found, with certain equipment, that is not the case. The question is, Do any of us want to be working in the rain anyway?
Well said, Mr. Sumner. You get what you pay for. Surveying is a professional service, it’s not a commodity. So in selecting a surveyor from our point of view, which we think it is the correct point of view, one should choose the surveyor who is best suited to do the job at hand. That means someone who is better qualified for the job. But you don’t know that if you are going to select your professional based on cost.
We appreciate all of the health care workers on the front lines during this time, and were honored to help brighten their day by providing lunch at University Hospital.
Working on a 500+ acre boundary in Jefferson County, Ga. Fortunately, the land surveying and engineering community is exempt from the shutdown.
Here’s hoping Cameron’s got 57 years left in him. Cheers, Bob!
Sunset over some wetlands in Glascock County, GA.
I would’ve thought that it’d be too cold for this one to be out. I guess I’m not the only one out in the field on a Saturday.
You never know who’s gonna show up to help.
This picture is from a survey performed last week. The stakes and pink flagging delineate the boundary line. My client is the lot on the right side of the stakes. Just based on the view from this picture, would you create an issue with the neighbor concerning the brick retaining wall?
Employee training at the Richmond County property records room.
This is an example of how the geospatial/mapping community can provide a valuable service to the public.
I was standing a foot from this guy for 10 minutes before I noticed him. I’d say that’s pretty good camouflage.
