**IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING FRIDAY'S VACCINATION EVENT** With the next phased roll out as provided by District 4 Public Health, the Spalding County Health Department, in conjunction with other Griffin and Spalding County departments, will be having a Covid Vaccine Distribution event on Friday January 15, 2021 from 8a-5p at the health department located at 1007 Memorial Drive. With the portion of our community that is now eligible for the vaccine, including healthcare wo...rkers, first responders and persons 65 and older, we anticipate a large number attending this event. Therefore, there are several traffic measures that are provided. Anyone wishing to attend the vaccine distribution event, PLEASE ENTER FROM SOLOMON STREET TO SEARCY AVENUE TO HARLOW AVENUE, which will lead to the rear entrance of the health department. Signs will be placed on Solomon Street and Memorial Drive to assist in notifying of the distribution entrance. Searcy Avenue will be blocked from Hamilton Blvd to Solomon Street to accommodate those in line for the vaccine distribution. There will be slow and or stopped traffic on Solomon Street, from the 6th Street to Searcy Avenue, so please use caution in this area. Harlow Avenue will be closed except for local traffic. Please use extra caution in this area and in the distribution area to allow for the effective and efficiant distribution of the vaccine to those in our community. Please note that this distribution event will take place weekly, on each Friday, until further notice.
