Continuing our celebration of Women's history month, today we celebrate Dr. Candace Harris, an experimental physicist in the at Lawrence Livermore National Labo...ratory. She earned her PhD at Florida A&M University. She earned her Bachelor’s and Master’s in Physics from Spelman College and the University of Massachusetts Amherst, respectively. In 2017, Dr. Harris was selected as a U.S. delegate for the International Conference of Women in Physics and was recipient of the McKnight Dissertation Fellowship. Her doctoral dissertation helped her secure a postdoctoral research fellowship in nuclear policy for the U.S. Department of Energy at the NNSA. At LLNL, she is continuing to develop her skill set for employing diagnostics towards nuclear stockpile stewardship.#WomensHistoryMonth See more
