Check your skin for signs of melanoma using the ABC’s of Melanoma. A = Asymmetry; The spot presenting with one side looking notably different from the other. B = Border; The spot has an irregular, poorly defined, or scalloped border C = Color; The spot presents multiple colors.... D = Diameter; The spot is larger than 6 millimeters, about the size of a pencil eraser. (Although some can be smaller when initially diagnosed.) E = Evolving; The spot looks different or is changing in size, shape, and color over time. If you notice any changes in your skin, book your appointment to have them checked by your dermatologist.
