David Driskell is being recognized as an inspirational leader in the arts and African-American community this month, and we are incredibly honored to exhibit his work with Steffen Thomas's in "Celebrating Creative Genius" - on view Feb. 11 - Apr. 22. See why Driskell is so revered in the HBO documentary "Black Art: In the Absence of Light," airing at 9 PM tonight! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=okH5n9CZbx0

Call for Artists EXTENDED! Interested artists now have until Feb. 12th to submit. STMA is calling for artists to submit applications for our upcoming special exhibition, "Healing Our Humanity." This show aims to compile a broad range of perspectives that tell the dynamic story of our current social climate and the path forward. We seek to feature a group of artists whose work inspires communication, healing, hope, love and unity. For full details, please visit https://steffenthomas.org/healing-our-humanity/
There is a story behind every Steffen Thomas work... In the 1920s, German dancers Yvonne Georgi and Harald Kreutzberg performed in Atlanta and influenced the work of young Steffen. We tell the full story in this video. See the original "Rhythm" and other Steffen Thomas works with their own stories in our special exhibition "Unveiled" - on view until Jan. 22nd. ... https://steffenthomas.org/visit-us/
