IMPORTANT: Dear Gregorians, we have discovered this morning that YouTube did NOT fall back to Standard Time last night, and so our service premiered at 9:15 instead of 10:15. You can join in mid-service now or open it at any time. Unfortunately, this will disable the live chat once the broadcast ends, plus it means that we will all be watching at different times. The link to the service is https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVLxTCoq_Sg and the bulletin is at https://www.stgregoryathens.org/s/AllSaintsNovember12020.pdf. It's so sad, since All Saints is a service where we especially want to be together. I will monitor the chat and the comments until noon today, and facilitate whenever possible. I am so sorry about this glitch. The challenges of online worship continue, but our love for one another is stronger and will overcome.
O blest communion, fellowship divine, we feebly struggle, they in glory shine; yet all are one in thee, for all are thine. Alleluia! Alleluia!... The parish family of St. Gregory the Great Episcopal Church invites you to join us for online Morning Worship on All Saints' Day, November 1. The service is broadcast via YouTube at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xVLxTCoq_Sg, beginning with a "Virtual Coffee Hour" at 10:15 a.m. where parishioners and visitors may greet and welcome one another before the service begins at 10:30. To join in the full worship experience, you'll want to grab a bulletin from our website, https://www.stgregoryathens.org/s/AllSaintsNovember12020.pdf, to either download or keep open in another window. Saints and sinners, strangers and friends, travelers and home folks: all are welcome at the table of the Lord. To all of you we say "Welcome Home!"
One extra hour of sleeeeeeeep!

Lane Norton has placed jars with candles in our Memorial Garden. They will be there from today (*update from today's email) through Monday, Nov. 2 for anyone who may like to come and light a candle in memory of someone as we approach All Saint's Sunday. Please come as individuals or family units and do not plan to meet others. You must bring your own lighter/long match. Please remember to extinguish it before you leave.

Kitty Sabrina is excitedshe just found out that she's going to St. Gregory's "Drive Through" Blessing of the Animals! Bring your pets (restrained, please!) on Sunday, October 11 from 3-4PM in the Athens Montessori School parking lot next to the church. Mother Nikki will do a brief, socially distant blessing and hand out St. Francis medals. If your pet doesn't like being in the car, you can bring a picture for a virtual blessing. And our young friends are especially invited to bring beloved stuffed animals so that they too can receive a blessing. All are welcome!
