Beautiful examples of force-free training for wild zoo animals. So, why are some still using force with domesticated animals? Dogs? Horses? It's a variety of things: it's how it's always been done; we like the "immediate" results; it feels good to us. It's a true credit to horses and dogs that they don't hurt us when we hurt them...

Names are important. I don't feel that the term "clicker training" properly reflects what I do; it doesn't do justice to what is actually more of an overall ph...ilosophy, a way of being, a promise from me to the horses that I interact with, rather than just a method of getting behaviour.
