Find Your Putter's Sweet Spot Many putters are imperfectly weighted, so your putter's sweet spot might be left or right of center. If that is the case, a putt that is hit in the center of the club face will lose distance and direction. Here is a simple way to check where your putter's true sweet spot is located. Step 1: Dangle your putter by holding it halfway up the shaft, using your non-dominant hand. Take a tee in your dominant hand and start tapping the face on the toe, ...which will cause the putter head to twist. Step 2: The closer you get to your putter's true center, the less twisting you will see. When you tap the true sweet spot, the toe and heel of your putter will swing back in perfect sync. Step 3: Grab a Sharpie and either make a dot or draw a line to mark the spot. This is your putter's true sweet spot! Butcher's Cut Golf is here to help you with any aspect of your game!
