It's National Sticker Day! Did you have a sticker collection growing up? We enjoyed coffee and hot cocoa while working on sticker by letter pictures. They turned out quite nicely. We decided this was the way to color if we want to be lazy.

And the Grinch, with his Grinch-feet ice cold in the snow, stood puzzling and puzzling, how could it be so? It came without ribbons. It came without tags. It came without packages, boxes or bags. And he puzzled and puzzled 'till his puzzler was sore. Then the Grinch thought of something he hadn't before. What if Christmas, he thought, doesn't come from a store. What if Christmas, perhaps, means a little bit more. Dr. Seuss, How the Grinch Stole Christmas!... We created a video of the residents enjoying their cards from the community. We received over 3000 holiday cards and messages of hope and love yesterday for Christmas Card Day. We cannot put in to words how much this meant to the residents to know people in the community were thinking of them. Strangers sending messages to them. We Love You and Pray you have a beautiful Holiday Season. https://youtu.be/hiXZ_hlrj3E

November 3. Today we are thankful for nature Tell us where it's your favorite place to explore nature. ... The Road Not Taken ~ Robert Frost - 1874-1963 Two roads diverged in a yellow wood, And sorry I could not travel both And be one traveler, long I stood And looked down one as far as I could To where it bent in the undergrowth; Then took the other, as just as fair, And having perhaps the better claim, Because it was grassy and wanted wear; Though as for that the passing there Had worn them really about the same, And both that morning equally lay In leaves no step had trodden black. Oh, I kept the first for another day! Yet knowing how way leads on to way, I doubted if I should ever come back. I shall be telling this with a sigh Somewhere ages and ages hence: Two roads diverged in a wood, and I I took the one less traveled by, And that has made all the difference.

November 2. Thankful for home. Drop us a comment and share something that reminds you of home. ... A poem by George Ella Lyons Where I'm From I am from clothespins, from Clorox and carbon-tetrachloride. I am from the dirt under the back porch. (Black, glistening, it tasted like beets.) I am from the forsythia bush the Dutch elmwhose long-gone limbs. I remember as if they were my own. I'm from fudge and eyeglasses, from Imogene and Alafair. I'm from the know-it-alls and the pass-it-ons, from Perk up! and Pipe down! I'm from He restoreth my soul with a cottonball lamb and ten verses I can say myself. I'm from Artemus and Billie's Branch, fried corn and strong coffee. From the finger my grandfather lost to the auger, the eye my father shut. to keep his sight. Under my bed was a dress box spilling old pictures, a sift of lost faces to drift beneath my dreams. I am from those moments-- snapped before I budded -- leaf-fall from the family tree.
