Good afternoon everyone, we hope this message finds you and your family happy and healthy! We look forward to continuing to treat and serve our patients, and we ALWAYS look forward to meeting new patients as we continue to grow as a practice! In order for us to effectively do this, we must maintain a safe and healthy environment for our staff and every family that comes into our office. Because of this, we are unable to accept patients with symptoms/exposure to COVID-19. We do not test for COVID-19 and we do not have the medical equipment necessary to safely treat COVID-19 patients. However, we would be happy to help you find somewhere to test/treat your children if they develop COVID-19 symptoms. Our office may be small, but we have a lot of love to give- and we want to keep giving it to you all!

Temporary Office Hours Our hours are subject to change day by day, this is not a final schedule; because of this, if you are planning to come by the office outside of your scheduled appointment time, we ask that you call beforehand to confirm we will be in office at that time. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation during this time.

We have the pleasure of announcing a new provider at our office! Laurie Bivins, CPNP, is now working Wednesdays and Thursdays here at Summit Pediatrics. Continue reading to get to know Laurie! Hello, I am Laurie Bivins and have joined the practice of Dr. Clark Cantrell and Robin Burris, CPNP.... I am honored to be entrusted with the opportunity to care for your family and children. I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Oklahoma and my master’s degree from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston. I am nationally certified as a pediatric nurse practitioner and lactation consultant. I have been in pediatric medicine as a practitioner for over 30 years in various fields of care. I enjoy working with infants, children and adolescents and have experience in treating many medical conditions of childhood. I have many years of experience with newborn care, premature follow up along with many medical conditions of childhood. Sharing in the growth and development of children throughout childhood has been a focus and enjoyment of my practice in pediatric medicine. In my spare time I enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking and fly fishing with my husband and two older sons. Gardening and needlework are also passions I enjoy and engage in frequently. I look forward to partnering with you and your children in their care as we empower them to attain their maximum potential in health and wellbeing. See more

Too much juice in a child's diet can contribute to health problems, including obesity. Parents can offer age-appropriate servings of juice in addition to offering whole fruits and other beverage options like water or low-fat milk. This is my daughter, Ada, after a very serious car wreck Sunday night when she was t-boned by a couple of boys drag racing. She says it best so I’ll just repost her words & pics so you can share with your teen drivers. This could’ve easily been another teenage driving fatality. If this story can stop even one irresponsible teen driving decision, then it’s worth sharing. Check out that seatbelt injury! Robin
