*Our office will resume patient care on May 18, 2020* Dear Patients and Parents of Children’s Dentistry, We hope this letter finds you and your family in good health. While many things have changed, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your health and safety. ... Our office will resume patient care on May 18,2020. Infection control has always been a top priority for our practice. Our office follows infection control recommendations made by the American Dental Association (ADA), the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) and the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA). We are implementing a few more precautions help protect our patients and staff. Our office will communicate with you beforehand to ask some screening questions. You’ll be asked those same questions again in the office. We have hand sanitizer and hand wash stations available. We will limit our guests to one parent/guardian to accompany the patient. We also request that everyone who enters the office be wearing a mask/face covering. Our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, children’s toys and so forth, during this time. Appointments will be managed to allow for social distancing between patients. That might mean that you’re offered fewer options for scheduling your appointment. *Limited Schedule Notice starting March 23rd for Emergencies only* Dear Parents and Patients, Due to the COVID-19 pandemic I have decided to close the office starting the week of March 23rd and will be available for emergencies only until further notice. We will continue to reevaluate the situation weekly to determine when it is safe for us to open. I understand that this is inconvenient but the wellbeing of our community, patients, and employees remains a top priority at Ch...ildren’s Dentistry. Currently, the spread of COVID-19 is thought to be primarily through infected droplets which occur when an infected individual coughs or sneezes. Transmission can also occur by direct contact with an infected person or touching a contaminated surface. Reportedly, children suffer mild to no symptoms but remain contagious. It is impossible for my staff to prevent children from interacting with one another and keep all surfaces free of contamination with multiple families present in our office. I will be available as needed for emergency care and services. We have developed plans to open our office with limited treatment options for emergencies. I hope everyone understands and supports my decision to have our office do our part to prevent spread of this outbreak. In an effort to keep our practice family safe and healthy we are requesting that all patients/families that are or have experienced any illness (cold/fever/flu/shortness of breath) please make the practice aware as soon as possible and reschedule all appointments for at least 14 days out. Additionally, patients/families who have traveled to any of the Level 3 affected countries (China, Iran, Italy, and South Korea other countries maybe added) ; we ask that you please resched...ule for at least 14 days out. Most recently, Fulton County schools have canceled classes due to an infected teacher. Therefore, if you or your children were affected by this closure or have been potentially exposed; we ask that you please reschedule your appointment(s). We thank you for being the best part of our practice; and would like nothing more than to keep your children as well as our team healthy.
