We invite you to join us for our Annual Gingerbread Contest! Create special memories with your family during 2020’s Thanksgivings break making a Gingerbread House for this year’s Gingerbread Contest! This year’s theme is Sounds of Christmas Bring your entry to Suwanee Academy of the Arts on Saturday, December 4 from 11:00-1:00. Save the Date! Our annual Nutcracker Tea is BACK December 5th and 6th! Imagine an enchanting tale brought to life through magical storytelling and delightful dancing by the Suwanee Ballet. Perfect for youngsters to experience and interact with the story of the Nutcracker. $28, $10 for an extra observer. We will have two tea's, Sat., Dec. 5, at 4:00 p.m. and Sun., Dec. 6, at 4:00 p.m. Stay tuned for a ticket link to sign up!

Now that Halloween is over, twinkling lights are going up, Christmas music is in the air, and holiday movies are on nearly every TV channel! You know what all this means: the giving season is upon us. Suwanee Performing Arts will be participating in GivingTuesday on December 1. On GivingTuesday, people all around the world come together to tap into the power of human connection and to strengthen communities by supporting nonprofits. Will you be one of them? Here’s how you can... help: 1.Mark your calendar. Add the GivingTuesday event to Google Calendar. 2.Give. On or before December 1, go to https://www.gagives.org/event/4spa and donate. Every dollar helps! You can also support our organization by asking your employer if they will match funds, volunteering, entering the Gingerbread Festival (details coming soon), purchasing show tickets (streaming or in-person), and more! We are pleased to announce that we have received a $3,500 grant from the Gwinnett Creativity Fund and Explore Gwinnett! The fund recognizes the inherent value of the arts to a community’s success and seeks to increase Gwinnett County’s profile as a cultural, inclusive destination where the arts educate, elevate, and inspire. The funds will be used by Suwanee Performing Arts to support The Best of The Nutcracker, selections from The Nutcracker ballet, to be performed at the Eagle Theatre in Sugar Hill by Suwanee Ballet Company members and community dancers on December 12, 2020. The show will also be live-streamed on ShowTix4U (Ticket details coming soon).
