Several people have asked why do I constantly talk about #selfcare and overall #wellness. * * From my own experience, my life and ove...rall wellness improved when I began to prioritize myself and my mental health. There was a time I would feel guilt for not feeling well and go to work anyway. Even though I had plenty of sick time. I've worked with extreme workaholics and witnessed the negative effects of not taking time to rest. * * Years ago, a colleague who I loved (and still love) dearly, died after not resting following a medical procedure. The colleague had exhausted all of their time off gifting it to other coworkers. So instead of resting and healing, my colleague was struggling, in pain at work. * * Anyone who knows me can affirm that I'm constantly giving gentle reminders to my colleagues, friends, my family, and clients to prioritize their mental and emotional health. The wealthy could lose billions on GameStop, but they make the rules and control the infrastructure that make the stock market work. Instead of taking their los...es like millions of people do everyday they just exercise their power. they just tell brokerages to stop selling the stock, only let them close no more buys, they spread fear and say they are cheatingEtc etc. That is power. This is prime example of why building wealth isn’t the answer to our freedom. They make the rules, control all the pieces on the board, and will change the rules of the game to ensure they always always win. Just watch as they steal all their money back and nobody is going to do anything about it.
