You're doing a great job Sugar Hill! Let's see if we can hit that goal!
2020 has been amongst the most challenging years but without fail our community has risen to the occasion to support one another. Our schools, churches, non-profits, companies, neighborhoods and individual community members have answered the call with each challenge, which at times seemed to come one on top of another. We are so incredibly fortunate to live in Sugar Hill. Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to you and your family. May 2021 bring health, happiness and the opportunities to gather more often once again and celebrate our amazing city.
ICYMI: Updates from the city on construction projects including the Greenway, Gary Pirkle Park (new fields), the 22 acre park along Hwy 20 and the art/history museum at Broadstone. Congratulations to Sugar Hill Youth Council's Bhaumi Shah!
Congratulations to Black Women's Association of Sugar Hill's Tiffany Hale Carter!
Great news! We honored our individual teachers' of the year at our November council meeting. Excited to hear that Sugar Hill Elementary's Katie Blum won GCPS's Teacher of the Year for the entire system! That makes two years in a row that the two clusters that serve city residents have won. Last year, North Gwinnett High School's Rebecca Carlisle was the overall Teacher of the Year. Congratulations!
