Rosmarie von Trapp, the last surviving daughter of the famous family of singers, passed away last week at the age of 93. She was part of the Austrian ensemble who performed sacred and folk music, along with her famous mother, Maria, for TEF in 1944, long before the 1959 Rodgers & Hammerstein musical made them internationally famous. As TEF enters its 85th performance season, we celebrate an incredible legacy of acclaimed artists who have come to Thomasville over the years. #TEFconcerts

Happy to see City of Thomasville, GA - Government taking steps to preserve and improve Thomasville’s historic Municipal Auditorium, site of so many important community events and celebrations over the years. For almost 50 years, this was TEF’s primary performance venue, with acclaimed artists and ensembles like Yo-Yo Ma, Peter Nero, Roberta Peters, Boston Pops, Atlanta Symphony Orchestra, Von Trapp Family Singers, American Ballet Theatre and hundreds more! And we still use it periodically these days, most recently for Ailey II modern dance company in 2020. Thankful to Fox Theatre Institute for bringing this planning grant to our community!
