The results are in from our Wing Competition! The Art Institute of Atlanta Culinary Department recently hosted a creative wing competition! Students were provided a basic wing starter kit and had the opportunity to elevate flavor profiles with additional ingredients to craft award winning dishes. (Starter kit consisted of: chicken wings, hot sauce, blue cheese, sour cream and butter) During a blind tasting, culinary student Lavar Oliver came out on top for his in...novation and creativity - - he elected to remove the chicken from the bone and crafted a pasta dish with the flavor profile of buffalo wings! Honorable mentions to our other student competitors: Chase Brittentine (traditional wings with a lemon pepper infusion), Mary Ashton Green (honey harissa wings), and Krishna Patel (tandoori wings). A tip of the toque for all of our students putting themselves out there and showcasing their culinary skills! All of these were AMAZING!
