Spirit Week Day 1: Pajama Day!!

Spirit Week begins this week with many wonderful creative posters made by students to decorate the halls. The homeroom with the most spirit posters wins a cookie cake!

TEACHER SPOTLIGHT: In his 7 years at The Bedford School, Nick Creighton has made such an impact that we can hardly remember a time without him. Mr. Creighton grew up in Peachtree City, GA and is a graduate of Starr's Mill High School. He then attended and earned his degree in Middle Grades Education from Georgia College & State University. After college, he began his teaching career at Bedford as well as Squirrel Hollow Camp. In 2016, he married his wife Erika whom he had kno...wn since high school. She is also a teacher in Fayette County and has worked at Squirrel Hollow camp for several summers. Mr. Creighton has taught Math, Science, Social Studies and PE to students of all ages. Some of his favorite activities of Bedford are the tailgate party, field day, Spirit Week (his costumes are always some of the best), and the middle school dance which could never be complete without the appearance of DJ Cray-Cray, his alter ego. Mr. Creighton especially enjoys coaching students in soccer, basketball, and track & field. He has been our Athletic Director for the past 3 years and is also the faculty leader of Disney House. Coach Creighton not only teaches our students how to improve their skills and strategy in sports, but teaches them the importance of teamwork and character above all else. Some of his personal hobbies include playing on soccer teams himself, traveling, cheering UGA sports, and anything to do with Harry Potter. In fact, he traveled all the way to London to attend the premier of Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince. Some other interesting facts are that he has 2 adopted siblings from the Ukraine, he won the Most Initiative Award in 8th grade, and he has a Tik Tok video with over 2600 views even though he dates himself since his first forms of social media were AIM Messenger and MySpace. It is evident to all that his family is very important to him. Mr. Creighton's sense of humor and infectious personality are an integral part of our school that encourage the spirits of staff and students alike. We are very thankful that Mr. Creighton uses his many talents and his caring personality to inspire the Bedford community. See more
