Dear Class of 2020, Today we should be together. You should be walking across the stage in the presence of your family, friends and teachers. You should be hearing all the cheers and applause and affirmation for your accomplishment. You should be with your fellow graduates witnessing the unity that comes from shared experience and celebration. These things have been taken from you and it is right to grieve these losses. But today, we focus on what cannot be taken. No virus ca...n take the diploma that you have worked for and earned. Physical distancing cannot take the relationships and memories that have helped make you who you are. No alteration of what today was supposed to look like can affect how much you are loved. Class of 2020, you matter so much to us! We hope the Graduation Premiere tonight serves to remind you of that. We hope it also makes it clear that, even though things have not gone the way they *should*, today can still be beautiful and special in it’s own way. We are so proud of you!
