Jackson Street between Tift Avenue and Residence Avenue will not due to the weather. Contractors planned to begin a storm water pipe installation project in the morning, but the work has been rescheduled for February 23rd and February 24th. A second notice regarding the street closures will be sent out before those dates as a reminder for those who live in the area.

We are excited to now offer the COVID-19 vaccine to southwest Georgians who are 65 and older and area law enforcement, firefighters and first responders next we...ek. Phoebe has set up a COVID-19 vaccine hotline that 65 can use to schedule an appointment to receive the vaccine. The hotline will then be open from 8:00 a.m. 7:00 p.m. on weekdays and 8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. on Saturdays. Phoebe will begin administering those vaccines Monday morning. - . Only eligible southwest Georgians with scheduled appointments will be allowed to receive the vaccine at Phoebe, and they must bring photo identification to prove they are at least 65 years old. Phoebe will provide community vaccinations at three locations. Albany Phoebe Healthworks at 311 W. 3rd Ave. - Monday, 10:00 a.m. 4:00 p.m. - Tuesday Saturday, 8:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. Americus Phoebe Sumter Medical Center at 126 U.S. Highway 280 West - Monday Friday, 9:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m. Sylvester Phoebe Worth Medical Center at 807 S. The Southwest Health District will be expanding Phase 1A to include the following groups: adults aged 65 and older, law enforcement officers, firefighters, and first responders.
