Desks for kids for school at home.
This two-month, free, online summit focused on home-based and home-centered learning officially started last week. It has several sessions each day, with (lots) more coming (and that could include you!). A current list is below. Sessions are free to watch for five days, then become part of the Home Learning Summit library. Sign up now: https://www.homelearningsummit.com... Whether by circumstance or choice, learning at home is now the reality for more students than ever. We have asked our speakers to answer this question in their presentations: "What do you know about learning that could dramatically help or change the lives of students, parents, teachers, librarians, or others at this moment?" This free event is for everyone interested in helping students to learn, because we're having what may be one of the most important conversations about learning in the history of the world. Understanding when, where, and how learning takes place has never been more important.

Interesting science/STEM resource. CIRES is reaching out to homeschool groups and parents supporting their learners at home. Who? We are the Cooperative Institute for Research in Environmental Sciences Education and Outreach Group at the University of Colorado, Boulder. https://cires.colorado.edu/outreach/ What? We offer FREE geoscience resources (videos, lesson plans, curriculum, professional development, and webinars) for formal and informal educators. In addition to the o...nes we create, we run the Climate Literacy and Energy Awareness Network digital catalog of over 700 climate science resources. https://cleanet.org//educational_res/collection/index.html Why? We have been working to provide more remote learning resources now that so many have found themselves in this unprecedented learning environment. In our efforts to help as many educators as we can we’ve begun looking for groups of educators that we have not traditionally served.
Some great info from my education colleague, Brett Kennedy of KennedyMathews Educational Consulting LLC.
