The Halls of Music

A big congratulations to Colbey, Emily's September Student of the Month! Colbey comes to his lessons every week with a big smile on his face, is always enthusiastic about whatever we are working on that week, and always has the BEST time. He practices hard and has come so far since he started taking lessons a few years ago. Thank you, Colbey, for your infectiously positive attitude and hard work ethic!

Bobby was inspired to do this arrangement by his student, Max. Max is a talented guitarist who loves rock n' roll. Plush, by the Stone Temple Pilots, was one of the songs that Max learned mostly on his own, with a little help from Bobby, so Bobby decided to make an arrangement that carried the melody on the guitar to give Max something that would really challenge and inspire him. Max is passionate about music and guitar, has a great attitude as a student, and strives to bring a sense of positivity and care to everything he does with his guitar. Bobby is so enthsued and excited to have students with the passion and respect that Max has for music and his teacher. Bobby trully excited to be helping others discover how cool guitar can be and hopes to build arrangements like this for all them!!

This arrangement of John Williams's "Hedwig's Theme" from the Harry Potter movies was inspired by one of Bobby's best students named Ben. Ben is an amazingly talented, young guitarist who is also a great student. Ben works hard for Bobby, so Bobby has worked hard on getting this arrangement togethe for Ben and other students who will enjoy this piece. Ben had tried learning some of the melody from a guitar transcription on another site, but that version of Hedwig's theme was incomplete. Bobby has done his best to include the bell intro, the main theme, and the quidditch theme music in this version. Bobby loves to express his gratitdue for his students with the various arrangements and studies that he creates for them. Enjoy Hedwig's Theme! The Halls of Music appreciates all you do for us!
