Effingham County schools have been postponed after today. We understand that a lot of children receive the majority of their meals while at school. If your family is in need of non-perishable food and hygiene items there are many locations with Blessing Boxes that are able to help. There is one located at Goshen United Methodist Church (Goshen & Hwy 21) that was full as of yesterday.

Please take notice that the Ogeechee Judicial Circuit (Effingham, Bulloch, Sylvania and Jenkins Counties) has postponed all non-emergency hearings for the next 4 weeks. The Eastern Judicial Circuit (Chatham County) has postponed all non-emergency hearings for the next three weeks. If you have a hearing scheduled, please contact our office (826-0059) to determine the status of your case. Our office is remaining open to help you. We are cleaning regularly, 'lysoling' between ...clients and have hand sanitizer for your use. We understand that life, and your case, does not stop because of Covid-19/Coronoavirus. We are also here to help with new cases. While non-emergency hearings are postponed, we can still file cases and get a hearing scheduled as soon as possible.
