After much consideration, the Hiram Library will be offering CURBSIDE ONLY through January 29, 2021. As of right now we do plan to return to our current half day operating schedule on Monday February 1, but that date is subject to change. We apologize for any inconvenience this might create. We will be offering all of our regular curbside services including book checkouts, book returns(in drop box), making copies, printing, faxing, and laptop checkouts. If you have any questions, or would like to schedule an appointment, please give us a call at (770) 439-3964.

Today is National Human Trafficking Awareness Day. Human trafficking is an issue that has been on the rise in Metro Atlanta over the years. In recent years Atlanta has been listed as one of the top centers for human trafficking in the United States. The library has many books that can be checked out dealing with the subject including first hand stories from victims and a general overview of human trafficking and the impact it has on society. For more information dealing with... recent statistics, information, and other resources take a look at the following links: https://tabithashouseint.org/resources/statistics/ https://humantraffickinghotline.org/state/georgia http://doas.ga.gov/human-resour/human-trafficking-awareness #humantraffickingawareness #resources #publiclibrary

Interested in learning something new this year? Well, Miss Amanda and Miss Elizabeth have just the thing for you! They are showing off their crochet skills in an easy to follow video made for beginners wanting to learn the craft. Learn the basic stitches and patterns you will need to be successful in crocheting, and that will also help to get you prepared for our Crochet tutorial later this month where they will be demonstrating how to make a simple crochet bottle cozy that is something definitely worth showing off! Keep an eye out for our cozy tuturiol and the the craft kits that will go along with it later this month!
