The Madame Museum

Enjoyed visiting the Madame CJ Walker Musuem. It was one of the original salons of the first female self made millionaire. You can also find original pressing c...ombs and curling irons from the 1940s and 50s. The building also housed the first African American radio station, WERD. The radio station where Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.’s sermon’s and civil rights movement announcements were broadcasted. The founder Ricci de Forest provided a wealth of information and was such a gracious host. It is truly a hidden gem in Atlanta!!
