As a result of the pandemic, several individuals found themselves unemployed due to no fault of their own, and they needed to obtain new skills to find a high in-demand career. WorkSource Three Rivers was able to utilize the NDWG to help! The National Dislocated Worker Grant (NDWG) provides resources to states in response to large, unexpected layoff events causing significant job losses. This funding is intended to temporarily expand capacity to serve dislocated workers, inc...luding military service members, and meet the increased demand for WIOA employment and training services, with the purpose to reemploy laid off workers and enhance their employability and earnings. Coweta County’s Dial A Ride (5311) program provides transit services to business, commercial and activity centers in Coweta County and is funded with federal, state and local dollars. Schedule a trip by calling 770-683-RIDE (7433) by 12:00PM for next day service, dependent upon availability.
