The holidays are tough this year. Many of us don't get to spend them with family like we usually do, which is causing sadness, loneliness, anger, and other difficult emotions. If this is true for you, do your best to manage these difficult feelings. Write them down, talk to a friend about them, channel them into a healthy outlet. But also, remember that it's normal and okay to feel sad, lonely, and angry right now. We're all in this together. If you need us, you know we're here
Have you ever had a nightmare and wondered if it had a deeper meaning? Nightmares, or bad dreams, can be separated into a few main categories based on their roots: Metaphorical dreams about present or past emotional situations. Warning dreams that link with unpleasant future ... events. Night terrors, which differ physiologically and experientially but sometimes get called nightmares. Are you experiencing holiday stress or just waiting for it to set in? These questions will help you get to the root of your holiday stress and maximize your joy. We have some bonus questions for you to ask yourself in the article below!
It's prime time to think about your goals for the new year! And we want to help you set goals that yield real results. The cheat code is: S.M.A.R.T S stands for specific. Identify exactly what your goal is and don't leave any room for questions. M stands for measurable. You should be able to answer questions like, "How much?" or, "How many?"... A stands for attainable. In other words, make sure your goal is realistic (but not too easy!). R stands for relevant. This highlights the importance of choosing a meaningful goal that's worthy of your time and effort. T stands for time-bound. Decide how much time you want to commit to achieving this goal and when you hope to reach it. What are your #2021goals? Make sure they're S.M.A.R.T!
Are you still contemplating your goals for the new year? Consider stepping outside of your comfort zone and taking a risk or two. These risks can help you grow well through your 20s and 30s: 1) Consider a new job or career. Ask yourself, "Is my company or current line of work right for me?" 2) Go back to school. An advanced degree can put you on the fast track to promotions and pay raises. 3) Pursue that passion that's been on the back-burner. If there’s something you’ve al...ways been interested in, whether it’s painting, cooking, or learning to kick-box, now is the time to pursue it. 4) Stand up for yourself. Sometimes, you have to stand up for yourself and show others you’re not a pushover. Your 20s and 30s are the perfect age to take a stand and set some boundaries. Now is the time.
