Q&A WITH Trevon Brown OF TNT Cellphone Repair The Athens Hustler: Why did you decide to start your own business? (Trevon): I’ve always known that I woul...d start my own business. Even at a young age, I used to watch my mama and my grandma work so hard at their jobs when I was growing up, and I could tell they didn’t like working. So I knew I wouldn’t be working for anyone but me when it was all said and done. The Athens Hustler: How has your business helped you grow as a business man? (Trevon): Dealing with people and their phones is a humbling experience, and I mean that in the best way possible. Lol. I have to deal with attitudes daily, but I remain polite and respectful and honor the customer service code, the customer is always right . The Athens Hustler: What has been your most helpful tool as a entrepreneur? (Trevon): I actually have a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration and I feel like I use that as my secret weapon. There’s so many things that I know how to do on my own, so I don’t have to pay outside sources for help. I pretty much do everything myself. I am my own accountant, I’m my own tax preparer, I do my inventory, my marketing, etc. all on my own. The Athens Hustler: What advice would you give someone who want to start a business? (Trevon): Do your research! Find out every little thing about the business you’re pursuing. Don’t go into it halfway and if you need help don’t be afraid to ask for it!
