** BOIL WATER ADVISORY ** Effective immediately, until further notice, residents on and near the following streets should be bring any water for consumption to a rolling boil for a minimum of 3 minutes before consumption. Keller Rd, Chase Rd, Wilson Rd, Lois Ln, Cross Rd, Sixth St, Crepe Myrtle. Updates will be provided as necessary. The Town of Mount Airy is accepting applications for a GCIC operator within the police department. The position is currently for Part-time work from 1-5 pm, Monday through Friday. Hourly rate is dependent on typing skills. Applicant must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and drug test. This position may develop into a full time position that will include 100% paid medical, dental, life and vision insurance by the municipality. Additionally, employee will be able to accrue personal time off, 12 paid holidays, and retirement from the Georgia Municipal Association. If interested, an application can be picked up at town hall located at 1231 Dicks Hill Parkway Mount Airy, GA between 8am until 5pm, M-F. The application period is open until the position is filled.
