The Town of Mount Airy is accepting applications for a GCIC operator within the police department. The position is currently for Part-time work from 1-5 pm, Monday through Friday. Hourly rate is dependent on typing skills. Applicant must be able to pass a criminal background investigation and drug test. This position may develop into a full time position that will include 100% paid medical, dental, life and vision insurance by the municipality. Additionally, employee will be able to accrue personal time off, 12 paid holidays, and retirement from the Georgia Municipal Association. If interested, an application can be picked up at town hall located at 1231 Dicks Hill Parkway Mount Airy, GA between 8am until 5pm, M-F. The application period is open until the position is filled.

ATTENTION ALL MOUNT AIRY GARBAGE CUSTOMERS: Waste Management has informed us they are running a little behind today. If your garbage is not collected today, they will return Saturday morning to complete their route. Thank you for your patience and understanding. Happy New year!

Once again the Town of Mount Airy is participating in the Toys for Tots campaign with the Marine Corps Leauge. We are asking anyone who is able to bring a new, unwrapped toy to Town Hall and place in the bin.

To all residents inside the city limits of Mount Airy: We are planning brush pick-up for the week of Oct. 5th - Oct. 9th. This is intended for yard debris gathered by residents. Please follow these guidelines: no vines, no root balls, no branches or limbs larger than 4" in diameter. You must call city hall (706) 778-6990 to get placed on the list. Deadline to register is Sept. 30th.
