This is so true, I am consistently noticing how I end up being the only one to ask questions when meeting new acquaintances. It’s a lost art.

Mental self-care means working on yourself, which includes helping others! Don’t become too focused just on your own issues as this may overwhelm you.

Friendship is good for your mental health. I am always encouraging my clients to build their friendships. They can be a precious constant in a life full of changes and stages, joys and pain. The research shows that people with the best mental health tend to have close relationships outside of just significant others, family and acquaintances. Who do you need to call or get together with?

I wish more people would understand this and take it more seriously.
