The Spirituality of Van Gogh, a Fall 2020 church school class taught by Kevin Lacson, offered a first for my 39+ years at Trinitya look at the religious life and practice of a specifically visual artist and the prevalence of that spirituality in his paintings. Beginning with Still Life with a Bible and a Novel from 1885 and followed by discussion of artists that Van Gogh emulated and admired as well as his never-seen Ghost Paintings of Christ at the garden of Gethsemane, this class granted a greater appreciation of Van Gogh’s technical mastery, in addition to insight drawn from the artist’s own letters and images as to the importance of Christianity to his work." -Allen Spetnagel https://vimeo.com/showcase/7752768

BYOP - Bring Your Own Pumpkin to the Family Ministries Pumpkin Carving this Sunday, October 25. Children are invited to attend at 12:30pm-2:00pm OR 2:30pm-4:00pm. Youth will gather at 5:00 pm.

Come as you are. The door is open. The Trinity Sanctuary is open for a time of individual prayer on Tuesdays from 1 to 4 pm and Thursdays from 9 am to 12:00 pm. Meditative music is streamed and prayer guides are available.

Welcome the Rev. Lucy Strong as Trinity's new contract associate pastor! Lucy oversees the areas of Spiritual Formation, Young Adults, Mission, and Congregational Life. Previously, Lucy worked at Columbia Theological Seminary in several roles including most recently as Associate Director of Student Engagement & Transitions, but also in Enrollment & Admissions, Financial Aid and Recruitment departments. Lucy has also worked at UKIRK Presbyterian Campus Ministry, Crossroads Community Ministries and Decatur Presbyterian Church. Lucy received her Masters in Divinity from Columbia Theological Seminary and a Bachelor of Arts from Presbyterian College. Lucy was ordained in 2015.
