We are just about ready to install the engine in Project Mayhem!! Today we installed the shorter windage tray on the bottom of the engine block for a Camaro and the oil pickup tube. We decided to go with an oil pan from a 2002 Camaro. It is a low profile oil pan and will not drag the ground when the bags are all the way down.

The 6th year students were learning how to take a 4L60e transmission apart in this module. They learned how to disassemble, inspect parts and reassemble it. #BelieveInTHS #asetest #trouphighautomotive

Troup High Automotive wants to thank LKQ again for their generous donation of a 2006 Chevrolet Silverado rear differential. This will be used for the students to learn how to build and setup a differential.

Tomorrow starts a new after school class. It is called Pico Tuesday. Students will stay after school and learn how to setup and understand an oscilloscope. This is a super tool in the Automotive industry. When the students start understanding this tool and how to set it up the possibilities are endless. Check back tomorrow for updates on the class. All automotive students are welcome to come and learn.

I have exciting news!!! Troup High Automotive has been named in the top 20 for Tomorrow's Tech School of the year for the United States. We will be competing against other high schools and technical colleges. We had to make a 6 minute video answering some questions that they provided. The video was produced by Kelton Hunt's Troup Audio Visual and Film class at Troup High School. They did a phenomenal job on this video. We are very excited about this honor and what will happen next.
