It's time again for the Friends of the Twiggs County Sheriffs Office gun raffle. This group raises money for equipment that saves tax dollars. Tickets can be purchased from any deputies or employees.

Even off duty our employees help others. I received this message and wanted to share it with you. The name was not given but I thank evey employee of the Twiggs County Sheriffs Office for their service. Just wanted to take a minute to say thanks for all you guys do in Twiggs county. But to take it even further.... I'm assuming it was one of your deputies , he said he worked for Twiggs county, stopped and checked on me while in Wilkinson county on his way home on Hwy 18 to Go...rdon. I had stopped to remove some limbs from the highway before dark. I'm sure you all know well that the dangers increase when darkness falls with debris in the road. He stopped to check on me and I explained what I was doing. He led the way towards Gordon , and we both stopped two more times removing limbs and debris from the highway. Just wanted to say thanks !! I didn't ask his name....but he drove a new model gray chevy truck with Florida tags. Please pass on my thanks to the sheriff !! See more
