On their last Saturday in Athens before they graduate, we’re saying congratulations to our seniors! We loved having you on the team, and wish you the best of luck with your future plans. Welcome back Dawgs! We are still figuring out the specifics of our season but thought it would be good to update everyone on what we do know as of now. We will not travel as a team or have any away meets this fall. We are looking into competing and swimming for time, perhaps in a virtual meet format, but more info will come in the future as we learn more. This leaves practices as the primary function of our club for the fall. Our practice time is new this year, TBD as of now ...but we expect it to be in the early afternoon M-TR. This has opened up the opportunity to utilize the Commit Swimming App to coordinate team practices. We will be posting sets to the app regularly which you are free to swim or modify, it will help us stay organized throughout the fall no matter when you find time to swim. This is open to anyone interested, weather you are on the team or not as we start the school year and begin to try and get back into shape. For freshman or anyone interesting in joining for the first time, we will be hosting virtual information sessions on Monday August 31st and Tuesday September 1st at 6pm over Zoom to introduce you to the team and answer any of your questions. Say hello to our newly elected 2020-2021 officers!! While this is definitely not the situation we saw ourselves in at the start of the semester, we hope to get things back to normal in a few short months when we return to Athens with these guys in charge of Club Swim. For now, Zoom meetings and virtual happy hours will have to do. We want to welcome Connor Shae as President, Parker Ciaramella as Vice President, Elise Perez as Meet Director, Aiden Hanson as Treasurer, Jack Einig as Social Chair, and Dema Krumenaker as Public Relations Chair.
