Congratulations to Gabby Connally for being selected as June MPA Student of the Month! Gabby just finished the first year of her MPA & is currently interning with the United States Secret Service. Congratulations to UGA School of Public and International Affairs PADP professor, Dr. Jason Anastasopoulos for winning the Society for Political Methodology's Miller Prize for his co-authored article, Matching with Text Data: An Experimental Evaluation of Methods for Matching Documents and of Measuring Match Quality. Our very own UGA School of Public and International Affairs PADP professor, Dr. Katherine Willoughby, coauthored a new article in Public Budgeting & Finance. This article investigates the similarities and differences in budget balancing strategies taken during the COVID-19 Pandemic and the Great Recession of 2007-2009.
