Our DA Student Spotlight, Dani @danimcali is here to tell you more about her incredible Semster experience with us: Studying abroad with Discover Abroad gave me an experience I didn’t even know was possible in college. The fact that we were constantly on the go and seeing so many new places really gave me the opportunity to fully connect with the other students in my gr...oup and the new environments we found ourselves in daily. It’s crazy that when I reference our trip people are always shocked how many once-in-a-lifetime places we hit all in just a couple months. I don’t think there’s any better way to see the top of snowy Mauna Kea or the depths of the Great Barrier Reef than with DA and all the adventurous people it leads you to! I will forever be grateful for this program and the memories and friendships it gave me that have been one of the most special parts of my college career!! Say hello to Abby Pinaud, our student spotlight this week! Abby attended our Maymester in South Africa program and wants students to know this: My Discover Abroad trip was honestly one of my favorite experiences I’ve had. My childhood idols were people like Steve Irwin and Jeff Corwin, and I think I made childhood me proud. It was so incredible to see the wildlife and biomes I had grown up dreaming of in real life. It felt like we were stepping into the animal world, like we... were truly connected to the environment. I think that experience is part of what inspired me to pursue a career in conservation. My scope of the world had been relatively small before this trip and I’m so grateful it was one of the most educational and eye opening experiences of my life. We’re so glad you could fulfill a childhood dream and that our program had such a lasting impact on you, Abby!
