Our patrons can now easily locate books in the Main and Science libraries using a new tool called StackMaps. When looking at books available for check-out online, patrons can click map it and the tool will show them the specific location of the materials they need within the stacks. This will help librarians and students better maintain social distancing. Try using StackMaps today at http://libs.uga.edu or learn more about StackMaps https://www.libs.uga.edu/news/library-website-tools-2020.

Staff at all UGA Libraries service desks have clear masks available to make communicating easier. If you need help, you can always request for service desk librarians to put on clear masks like the one modeled here by Emily Cara from the access services department.

Just one day before voters cast their ballots in the 2020 election, archivists at UGA’s Russell Library for Political Research and Studies will trace the history of the 1980 election via Facebook Live at 2 pm on November 2nd. In light of the pandemic, the UGA Music Library has been hard at work expanding their digital score resources with programs like nkoda, Naxos Scores Online, the Library Music Source, and BabelScores. Students can access scores virtually on their portable devices, annotate scores, and take them with them wherever they are practicing!
