Update on Jeff Underwood: Dr. King decided he wanted to do the surgery this Friday so he will be performing the surgery to put the shunt in! We think that this ...will help Jeff become more alert and active like he was before they put the skull back in. Jeff as been very lethargic since the surgery in September 17th but the videos below warms my heart! It probably doesn’t look like much to most but it melted my heart! I always start videoing after he does something great never before lol. But Jeff grabbed my hand and held it and then would open his fingers wide for me to do finger tips to finger tips, which is something we have always done as a couple. This small gesture means more to me that you can imagine! It tells me he is in there and he knows who I am! I never doubted that but it certainly confirms it in my heart! See more

Update on Jeff Underwood: Surgery took less time than anticipated and Jeff did great! They found a small hole they had to patch with a piece of skin that had a...ctually grown into Jeff’s skull while it was in his stomach. The hike was causing more leakage of Cerebral Spinal Fluid. God is Good! Everything happens in God’s timing. If Shepherd Center had not required the skull to be put back on now then Dr. King wouldn’t have found this hole because it was so small it didn’t show on the CT Scans. It could have been hindering some of his healing. Jeff was alert and squeezing us with his right hand very firmly. He moved his head left to right in response to me touching his face. It will take time for him to heal but I definitely think God had his hand in all of yesterday since Jeff was Dr. King’s first surgery after his wife passed away. See more

So exhausted but so thankful that God guided Dr. King through the cranioplasty with a successful outcome. Jeff has been alert, moving his head, squeezing his right hand and a little on the left all just within hours after surgery! God is so good!

Update on Jeff Underwood! Jeff is out of surgery and everything went good. Thank you so much for all the prayers! Keep them coming!
