Chris is the definition of consistency, always filling his role well, minimizing mistakes, encouraging his teammates, and catching the ladies’ attention! And as our program grows with each semester, so too does our players as they become alumni and represent our program out unto the world! Congratulations to our spring and summer ultimate graduates, Cameron Nicholes and Konner Mullins! They have been with our program for years, and may they find success both off and on field, wherever they may go!

One of the things that makes the University of North Georgia so special is the commissioning of Army and National Guard officers each semester. While individual... ceremonies are held for each cadet and their family and friends, the commissioning held as part of each commencement ceremony always elicits cheers and a standing ovation from a full gymnasium. Helloooooooo everyone! It has certainly been awhile since our last post, for like you, we have been making the most of our summer! But we still have been doing all things ultimate, especially preparing for the upcoming school year! With that said, UNG's Fall 2017 semester starts up on August 21st, and we have already prepared the ULTIMATE event to help you break in the new semester. On August 31st (Thursday) at 4:00pm, we are partnering again with the kind folks at Wander No...rth Georgia for our own little Ultimate Frisbee tournament on the Drill Field with a cookout to conclude the tournament!! We had a rousing success and a lot of fun at last year's event, and we expect an even bigger turn out this year, so RSVP fast, spots are limited!! Everyone, It has been a while since our last post, but with the end of regionals, the end of the school semester and with the start of summer, it's been a crazy busy time! So get ready for one long but final post for a while! As we have reached the end of another year for the UNG Men's Ultimate Frisbee Team, we wanted to take a moment to recap the year and recount some of the milestones our program has made this year...... In this year alone, we gained MANY new additions to our team, who we hope will stay and will be our foundation for our program going forward. Later, we won our first tournament in program history in the fall semester, and then a second tournament as well in the spring! And across all our tourneys, we had great showings. And for off-field, we've made great strides in fundraising, PR work, and other critical parts of growing our program. In fact, we've even had the honor of winning Sports Club Of The Year award and Fundraising Club Of The Year given to us by our governing bodies at UNG. These are only some of our achievements this past year, but some of our most prestigious highlights to result from this year. In summary, it has been a wonderful year for our program, just as every year has been so far, and we hope next year will take our program even farther and that we continue to grow with continued success. And with respect to that success, we must recognize and thank you, our supporters, who have gotten us this far. Everyone, it's time! Regionals is HERE! This weekend, April 6th and 7th in Foley, Alabama, will be the annual Regional tournament for D-III Men's Ultimate! It is gonna be a battle against other great teams the whole weekend, but we have a full squad going along with the support of some members of the UNG Women's Ultimate team traveling down with us! Hello everyone! We have some big news! As both the full school year and the spring semester comes to a close, the University of North Georgia has awarded us in light of our achievements in this past year. Yesterday, at the Blue and Gold Awards, where organizations of all kinds are recognized for their merits, we were honored with the title of Sports Club of the Year Award! And today, UNG RecSports (governing body of all UNG athletic club organizations) honored us with Sports... Club of the Year Award and the Fundraising Club of the Year Award! We have achieved so much this year, and it is a huge blessing to have received such honors for those achievements from our school, as well as continue to represent UNG. And a large part of this success is due not only to our members, but largely in part to the ones in leadership roles in our program, on and off field. But, as is all our successes past, present and future, we owe to you, our supporters, for continuing to propel us forward and helping our program grow and reach these milestones. These awards and honors are as much yours as they are ours. Because of that, we thank you, and hope you continue to be a part of our program. Hello everyone! We just got back from the Hundred Acre Wood tourney this past weekend, hosted by the good folks at GGC and we are proud to say...we placed 1st and won the whole thing!! We have reached another great milestone for the program, and we will still continue to climb higher and higher. Our goals and achievements could not be met without you, our supporters, who help us grow, support our fundraisers, and cheer us on. With that said, in a few weeks we will be heading to Sectionals, another big tourney! Hey guys! We wanted to update you guys with some awesome news! As you know, we had a great tourney down in Tallahassee over the break and competed against some great teams, with an overall finish of 5th place out of 17 teams! And ANOTHER great highlight of that tourney was that for the D3 division of that tourney, we were honored with being chosen for the Spirit Award and given an awesome gift from the good people at Hucket! In addition to that, we finally got our fancy new jerseys from the great people at Spin Ultimate! As always, thanks to all of our supporters as we continue to make great accomplishments like these! Hello everyone! Sorry for the delay of this post, but with the end of the semester fast approaching, we have been exceptionally busy. With that said, we finished this past tournament (the Chili Dawg Classic in Athens) with a 5-2 record, finishing 2nd overall! Pictures from the CDC will be up soon as well. UNG Men's Ultimate Won 1st place at GGC!

To all of our supporters, fans, friends, and ultimate players alike, it is my great honor and pleasure to announce that your UNG Men's Ultimate Frisbee Club, The Nighthawks, have won the GGC fall tournament this past weekend, making it the first ultimate frisbee tournament in our program's 5 year history in which we placed 1st with an undefeated record of 6-0. With that said, we could not have made it this far without the help and encouragement of our supporters, and of course, the hard work and dedication of each of our players. We will continue to aim higher and higher, surely reaching more milestones and achieving new heights for our program. Again, thank you to all who have helped us make it this far.
