The sky's clear again today, so we'll be opening at 9:00 on the drill field away from the event.

It is a rare September night. There's an autumn chill in the air and the waxing crescent Moon is gently gliding toward the western horizon. A perfect time to calibrate our telescopes. But first, the dome rooms must climatize with the ambient air outside. We start with the dome housing the 0.7-m telescope. https://youtu.be/z72TnBXAXUE

Today, we installed the most requested feature at our observatory. Perhaps, now, we will be easier to find?

A lot of you have asked about our telescopes, so here they are! They are both Planewave astrographs. Our workhorse will be the 0.7-m (28-in) Nasmyth-Cassegrain telescope that you see first (red camera attached). Public nights will typically happen with this telescope. Not to be outdone, though, is our 0.6-m (24-in) Cassegrain on an equatorial mount. The 0.6-m is waiting to be polar aligned. We'll post about when we start the process!
