Along with Equipment Rental closing briefly after the semester ends, the Climbing Wall will be closing as well to give our staff the necessary time to deep clean the wall and prepare for the months to come. With that being said, be sure to make your reservations to climb while you still can! The final day to reserve a time and climb at the wall will be this Friday, April 30th. You can reserve a time slot by following the 'Climbing Wall Reservations' link in our bio. If you have any questions feel free to message us or email us at [email protected] #outdoorpursuits #goleadexplore

Regardless of the season or current weather forecast, you always have a chance of getting dehydrated. Despite the fact that most people don't associate dehydration with the winter months, your body can actually lose a lot of fluid during the cold, dry winter season. Although it might be easier to forget this important habit, avoid dehydration by making sure drink lots of water and replenish fluids regularly. #outdoorpursuits #goleadexplore

Although it’s sometimes easy to avoid going outside during the winter season, getting outside is still possible and extremely beneficial. Staying inside for several days with little to no real time spent outside can actually lead to people getting sick over the winter due to the artificial warmth and closeness with family and/or other roommates indoors. You can solve this problem by choosing a day with the sky is mostly clear, dressing warmly, and embracing some of the winter sunshine. #outdoorpursuits #goleadexplore

Something that people don't think about very often during this season is making sure to protect their own skin. Cold, dry air has the ability to take away moisture from our skin, and when this is followed with sudden hot air from a heating unit indoors, your skin can result in feeling dry, itchy, and painful. Avoid this by remembering to moisturize your skin, drink plenty of water, and eat foods with high antioxidant levels. In doing so you will feel better physically and not have to worry about your skin getting damaged this season! #outdoorpursuits #goleadexplore
