Hello students, Over the 2017-2018 year, SGA has received questions in the regards of advising and classes. Since SGA does not have the actual resources to help those students, we do refer inquiries to the Advising office. This is your opportunity to have your questions answered by your peers. Please see attached flyer.... We hope that everyone will find this helpful and thank the Peer Mentors for all they do. Questions? See Courtney Hall (program advisor) in Advising for further information. Thank you, Student Government Association officers.

Hello everyone, Three important things that will influence the Gainesville campus in whole. Yesterday SGA voted on the new by-laws and the 2018-2019 Fiscal Year Budget. There will be changes in the student activity fee funding. The travel will be in a separate grant funding, but all approved student organizations have unlimited requests for it. It will be in the five year plan, with the eventual funding be 75% of the requested grant. The student organization will be respons...ible for fundraising the rest of the money. Hopefully, this will help organizations collaborate with each other, and more people will be able to take trips. The officers have worked hard and discussed about this topic extensively. The officers feel that this appropriately represents and benefits the entire student body. Please come by the Student Involvement Office or ask any executive officer if you would like more information or have questions. We will be having a representative table next week in the student center. Please start thinking of two representatives that you would like to represent your class (Sophomore, Junior, and Senior of the 2018-2019 school year). Freshmen representatives will be selected in the fall. Please come by the table for more information. This is an important aspect to Gainesville SGA and is brand new! We are excited to roll it out. Next week is the 2018-2019 executive officer election. So please log in an UNG computer in the library, or ACTT center, or possibly in your classroom. You should see a pop up asking for your votes. Next year will be a monumental year with the new budget set up, representatives, among many things that will affect the Gainesville campus in whole. So please select the officers that you want to be the voice of the Gainesville campus. The elections will be April 2 to 6. As always, please contact any executive officer if you would like more information or have questions. Michelle McAdams (President) Chad Loggins (Vice President/acting Treasurer) Stephany Garcia (Secretary)
