Union Grove Camp Meeting

I’m not sure how many actually came out to the campground this week to pray since I wasn’t there all day and evening. However, I did see several people who did come. To those whom I did see and those who I did not see, and to those who prayed elsewhere, thank you so much. This has been a really emotional week for many who love this place and love Camp Meeting. Hopefully, we will see some results from those prayers and things will take a turnaround. God bless you all as we pray our way through this.

I had trouble getting this to post on this page. So, for those of you who come to Camp Meeting and have not heard or seen this, we regret having to do it, but circumstances required us to make this decision.

With deep regrets I have to announce that after a meeting of the Campground Committee this evening, we, the Committee voted, with a large majority, to cancel the Union Grove Camp Meeting for 2020. Many factors were discussed in arriving at this decision. Trust me, this decision was not taken lightly, but came after weeks of prayer and seeking God for guidance. Due to the latest Executive Order issued by the Governor, requiring continued social distancing and other aspects suc...h as the immune compromised nature of the majority of our constituents and rising number of new cases among the younger generations, and lack of ability to obtain the sterilization chemicals needed to maintain a safe environment for everyone, we came to this decision. We know this decision will be appreciated by some and condemned by others. However, our greatest concern is the welfare and safety of ALL. We have discussed some alternative ideas for the near future. Please keep the Committee in your prayers as we deal with these ideas. God bless you! See more

FOR THOSE OF YOU WHO ARE WONDERING; We are having a special called meeting of the Campground Committee in June 30th to make a decision on the fate of Camp Meeting 2020. Just as soon as the decision is made we will get the word out, one way or the other. We will announce it on FB and will send out letters to all our Pastors notifying as many as we can of our decision, either way. God bless you all. Help us pray that we will make the right decision.

Assuming we are able to have Camp Meeting and Conference in July, I am posting this. If anything changes we will make announcements after the first of July. As of now, we are moving forward. Our theme for this Conference is, "We Are Overcomers."

We are anticipating being able to have our Camp Meeting this year. In the event we do, here is the lineup of speakers for this year's event.

Well, when we ever get to have meeting at the Campground again we are ready. Praise the Lord and thank you to all who helped make it happen.
